GARMENT CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
UNCONVENTIONAL MET
These pieces challenged me to create a high fashion Met Gala look using unconventional materials. The unconventional material I chose to use was recycled plastic bags. In total I used 600 recycled plastic bags to collectively create both looks.
This look is made up of 400 recycled plastic bags that I cut and fused together. I then wove the fused plastic together to create the top and bottom of the skirt.

This look is made up of 200 recycled plastic bags that I cut and spray painted. The plastic bags are sewn onto a piece of muslin fabric that was then turned into a dress.

FRANKIE WELCH
These pieces were a collaboration done with me and fellow designer, Kaitlyn Rutledge. We drew inspiration from previous collections and designs by Frankie Welch. One design was a babydoll dress with puffed sleeves and a dramatic bow tie back. The other design was a mini skirt and a shirt with a veil that had a sublimation print on it.

PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY
I designed this dress for Strike Magazine Athens for their Persistence of Memory photoshoot. This dress is completely organza and was inspired by Salvador Dali's Persistence of Memory painting with bold colors and dramatic silhouettes. The style is an a-line dress with large bell sleeves and a large bow in the back.
